Emissions-focused analysis
Read diagnostic and emissions information from the vehicle and organize it into information that is useful for inspection preparation and troubleshooting.

A mobile emissions diagnostic app designed to read and analyze vehicle data and help determine whether a vehicle is likely to pass or fail an official emissions inspection.
Know more before inspection day
Pacific Crest Diagnostics is being developed to read and analyze emissions-related information directly from a vehicle. Instead of simply displaying raw diagnostic values, the app is intended to help the user understand what those values mean for the vehicle's emissions readiness and condition.
The goal is simple: identify problems that may cause an inspection failure and provide an informed assessment of whether the vehicle is likely to pass or fail an applicable official emissions inspection before the vehicle is taken for testing.
Read diagnostic and emissions information from the vehicle and organize it into information that is useful for inspection preparation and troubleshooting.
Use the available vehicle data to help identify whether the vehicle appears ready for an official emissions inspection or whether further diagnosis may be worthwhile first.
Run Pacific Crest on a compatible Android phone or tablet, iPhone, or iPad rather than buying and maintaining a separate diagnostic computer.
Designed to work with supported vehicle-interface hardware across a broader range of diagnostic applications, without tying the product to one specific adapter brand.
Mobile diagnostics
Pacific Crest Diagnostics is being developed for Android phones and tablets and for Apple iPhone and iPad devices. The app does not require an expensive PC-based diagnostic workstation.
For small shops, fleets, vehicle owners, and mobile technicians, that means the computing hardware can be something as simple as a compatible mobile device. For larger operations, the same mobile approach can make it easier to put diagnostic capability in the hands of multiple users without purchasing a dedicated computer for every location.
What the assessment means
Pacific Crest Diagnostics is intended to provide an informed assessment based on the emissions and diagnostic information available from the vehicle. It does not perform or replace the official emissions inspection, and it cannot guarantee the result of that inspection.
The official inspection result remains authoritative.
Pacific Crest Diagnostics is currently in the final stages of development.
We are targeting availability in September 2026 through Google Play for Android devices and the App Store for Apple devices.
Release timing, supported vehicles and hardware, features, and pricing remain subject to change as final development and release testing are completed.
